Gynecology & Obstetrics Textbooks

Gynaecology or gynecology refers to the surgical specialty dealing with diseases of the female reproductive system (uterus, vagina, and ovaries). Literally, outside medicine, it means "the science of women." Almost all modern gynaecologists are also obstetricians.

Obstetrics, on the other hand, is the branch of medicine concerned with pregnancy and childbirth, including the study of the physiologic and pathologic function of the female reproductive tract and the care of the mother and fetus throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the recuperative period following delivery.
